Mite Summer Hockey Program
This summer we will be offering a Mite Program. The goal is to provide pre-season opportunities for travel and rec players to improve skills - skating instruction, power skating with Baiba, individual skills. Instructors will be Eric Cantini and Mentor coaching staff.
- Program will meet once a week for 10 weeks.
- Each Session will be 1 hour
- Evenings: Thursdays 7- 8 p.m.
- Fee: $100 residents $125 nonresidents
- Dates: June 14, 21, 28, July 12, 19, 26, August 2, 9, 16, 23 2012

Bantam & Peewee Summer Hockey Program
This summer the city will be offering a combined PeeWee/Bantam Program. The goal is to provide pre-season opportunities for travel team kids to improve skills. Instructor: Larry Donnelly and Mentor Coaching Staff.
- Program will meet once a week for 10 weeks.
- Each Session will be 1 hour
- Evenings: Mondays @ 7 – 8 pm
- Fee: $100 residents $125 nonresidents
- Dates: June 11, 18, 25, July 9, 16, 23, 30, August 6, 13, 20, 2012

Florjancic Summer Hockey Clinics
Attention Hockey Parents: Beginning June 12, 2012, Mentor Squirt 1 Head Coach Dan Florjancic will be conducting his ninth season of summer skating sessions at the Mentor Civic Ice Arena. Off-ice and on-ice skating sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays as noted below. These clinics will last for a ten-week period with one hour for off-ice training/conditioning and one hour for skating instruction each day. The objective of these summer camp sessions is to keep your skater on the ice and in shape through the off-season and to improve individual skills such as skating, puck control, checking, and shooting.
Costs for the sessions are $150 for ten sessions for either Tuesday or Thursday or $275 for all twenty session (every Tuesday and Thursday).
Register by May 15, 2012 and save $25.00 ($125.00) for ten sessions or $50.00 ($225.00) for all twenty sessions.
Players may also sign up to be listed as a substitute skater.
If interested in attending this season’s camp, please complete the registration form and mail with full payment, payable to Dan Florjancic. Registration deadline is June 1, 2012. Space is limited.

Mite & Squirt Spring 3on3 at Mentor Ice Arena

Ice of March
Ice of March is quickly approaching. The Ice of March Planning Committee will be holding the final planning and organizational meetings over the next few weeks leading up to the Tournament Weekend, March 16-18, 2012. Meetings are open to anyone that is interested in helping or just interested in hearing the status of the planning activities. MYHBC continues to seek volunteers and support for this year's event.
The next Ice of March Tournament meeting will be Thursday, March 8th at 6:00pm at the Mentor Civic Arena.
The Ice of March apparel pre-order form is now available. Pre-orders are due by March 8.

Mentor Youth Hockey Remembers Frank Godic
On February 2, 2012, Frank Carl Godic 
passed away at the age of 63 following a courageous two-year battle with esophageal cancer. Frank Godic was the founding father of the Mentor Youth Hockey Booster Club. As a 1967 graduate of Mentor High School, Frank was a huge fan of Mentor High teams. He could be found attending MYHBC’s annual Ice of March Hockey Tournament long after his son had finished playing youth hockey in the program. A great friend to Mentor Youth Hockey will be missed. Squirt 1 Wins Rock 'n Roll Cup
Congratulations to the Mentor Squirt 1 team for winning the Rock 'n Roll Cup Tournament in Cleveland this past weekend, December 2-4.
Squirt 2 Wins Phanton Phright Phest
Congratulations to Mentor Squirt 2 for winning the Phanton Phright Phest Tournament in Youngstown, October 28-30, 2011. The Cardinals won the championship game 3-2 in overtime.
